Autism Diagnostic Assessment

A comprehensive assessment to determine if your child meets diagnostic criteria for an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The assessment is completed in a manner consistent with current BC requirements to help families qualify for funding.

These assessments can also be completed through public health services. Information about publicly funded assessments through BCAAN (and their wait times) can be found here.

Maximum flat rate: $2925

Psychoeducational Assessment

A targeted assessment of cognitive, adaptive, emotional, and academic functioning to provide a diagnosis of a Specific Learning Disorder, ADHD, or Intellectual Disability. This assessment can help with identifying areas of need and areas of strength, helping with IEP and resource planning, identifying giftedness, and with transition to adulthood or post-secondary educational planning.

 

Maximum flat rate: $2700 

Neuropsychological Assessment

A comprehensive assessment of cognitive, academic, adaptive, and social-emotional functioning. These evaluations help with diagnostic clarification, academic planning, medical, treatment, or surgical planning, and defining your child's strengths and weaknesses. Particularly helpful after a neurological injury and for individuals with a condition affecting the brain or thinking skills (e.g., TBI, stroke, CNS infection, epilepsy, brain tumor, etc.)

Maximum flat rate: $3375

Dr. Goertzen bills $225/hour up to a maximum flat rate. Rates will not exceed those quoted above without prior agreement and may be less depending on the duration of your child's assessment. 

Payment options: Direct billing through Medavie Blue Cross; credit card; e-transfer, or cash.
